  2. @resadrianlk i was a combat medic in the army & have a suture certificate that allows me to sew you up if need when in the wilderness or combat zone. i was given the surgical kit as a gift from my medical staff. you cant buy the suture thread from anywhere that i know of without a license but you can get the surgical kit online from a good army surplus store without the license. be carefull though they dont always come with the tools. you shouldnt give sutures to others unless you’re trained.

  14. Yeah I get the BioFreeze packets from my chiropractor. They are the freebees they hand out. I only take this big kit if my wife is coming along and we are hitting a high populated trail with some intense portions. Also just practice the stitching on some cross stitch material. Expediant sutures are best in a cross stitch form when dealing with holes/punctures and zig zag sutures for the deep cuts.

I like the stick on thermometer tip, I need to order some steri strips I have some sutures but need to get a pigs foot from butcher and practice the technique it’s only going to be a last ditch thing like you are stressing to people. Oh I noticed you didn’t have imodium for full of crap people like myself lol great video Ryan my kit I take backpacking is about 1 lb I have downsized it some Used to carry big tube of bio freeze now I have the individual packets. 5/5
