I’m allergic to aspirin anyway.
A doctor I work with said there wasn’t much you could do to prevent bruising, b/c it’s part of the healing process.
He said that going through all the color phases-black, purple, bluish and yellow-tells you where the bruise is in it’s healing. Yellow is the last phase.

hmm. Well the cold drink you used should have been wrapped as, with any application of a cold compress it is important that the compress is wrapped to prevent things such as frostbite, etc. Futhermore, you could have a done a modified head to toe examination of the eyes to compare them to one another as a more serious medical issue could be an underlying problem.
